Position Summary
The Small Engine Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining lawn & garden and small engine equipment. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Read job orders and inspect equipment to determine malfunctions and plan repair procedures
- Diagnose and repair 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines
- Service and maintain zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, riding mowers, and lawn & garden equipment
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) on new and used equipment
- Operate power tools, welders, forklifts, and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly
- Review service manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to determine repair requirements
- Replace or repair belts, fuel systems, electrical components, and drive systems
- Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation
- Maintain accurate documentation of labor, time spent, parts used, service records, and sales receipts
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, estimates, and timelines
- Maintain condition of tools, vehicles, and shop equipment; follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Assist with loading customer equipment when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Dependable, efficient, and motivated to deliver quality repairs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read schematics and service manuals and perform diagnostics
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills for parts lookup, service record management, and sales receipts
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment or outdoors; physical ability to bend, kneel, and maneuver equipment safely
- Visual acuity to detect worn or damaged components
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2+ years of small engine or lawn & garden repair experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Welding or fabrication experience a plus
- Willingness to work occasional Saturdays and overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Position Summary
The Tractor & Agricultural Equipment Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractors and agricultural equipment. This role requires advanced mechanical skills and experience with diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Read job orders and inspect equipment to determine malfunctions and plan repairs
- Ascertain service problems and services by listening to customers’ description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems
- Service and maintain tractors and agricultural equipment
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Operate power tools, welders, forklifts, and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly
- Review technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to determine repair requirements
- Repair or replace transmissions, hydraulic pumps, fuel systems, and electrical components as needed
- Test repaired equipment to ensure conformance with manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, time spent, parts used, service records, and sales receipts
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, estimates, and completion timelines
- Maintain condition of tools, vehicles, and shop equipment; follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Assist with customer equipment loading when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Proficiency in reading schematics and service manuals and performing electronic diagnostics
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic and drivetrain systems

- Basic computer skills for parts lookup, service record management, and sales receipts
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment or outdoors
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and maneuver around large equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Visual acuity sufficient to detect small cracks, leaks, or worn components
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or degree preferred
- 1–2+ years of tractor or agricultural equipment repair experience preferred
